Who We Are

The Rawbar is located in beautiful downtown Chico, California on the corner of Broadway and West 4th Street.

 
 

Since 2002, the Rawbar has offered modern and traditional Asian cuisine in a fun, artistic, unconventional, modern industrial environment.

Winner of “Best of Chico” ten consecutive years in the Chico News and Reviews “Best of Chico Awards,” along with features in Sunset Magazine and Restaurant & Institutions Magazine, have all contributed to the Rawbar’s growing reputation of quality year after year.


Staff

Matt Janeway is the Head Sushi Chef and newest partner at the Rawbar. Matt brings over 15 years of experience and training under Masaki Tanakasan and Taichi Kitamura to the restaurant. He also creates an exclusive monthly Edomae Omakase Dinner.

Chef Chloe Criez oversees our modern hot menu.

Darren Chadderdon and Michelle Mazza (owners) personally oversee our dining room. Darren also teaches our monthly Thai and Sushi classes.
